Bangkok – Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok reinforces its leadership in sustainability through active participation in the "Rescue Kitchen Activity", a collaborative initiative between Central Group and SOS Thailand aimed at reducing food waste and creating meaningful value from surplus ingredients.

Led by Chef Panat Bantanajak, Senior Executive Sous Chef, alongside Wuttisak Wongsit, Marketing Communications Manager, and Bantita Chittapraphai, Quality and Hygiene Manager, the hotel’s team took part in a hands-on operation covering every stage of the process. From carefully selecting surplus ingredients that remain of high quality, to preparing and cooking them in accordance with strict hygiene standards, the initiative transformed excess food into nutritious meals delivered directly to local communities at Wat Chan Pradittharam, Bang Duan Subdistrict, Phasi Charoen District, Bangkok. The activity clearly reflects the concept of turning surplus food into sustainable opportunities.

This collaboration not only contributes to reducing food waste within the system but also generates a positive social impact by maximising the value of food resources. At the same time, it fosters greater awareness of sustainability among employees, reinforcing responsible practices within the organisation.
