Bangkok – Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao Bangkok, led by Wuthisak Pichayagan, General Manager, has been honoured with the “Thailand Tourism Sustainability Award” in the Tourist Accommodation category at the 15th Thailand Tourism Awards 2025, organised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).

This year marks the introduction of the “Green Kinnaree Award”, a distinction created to recognise tourism enterprises that operate with responsibility towards society, local communities, and the environment. Evaluation criteria cover a wide spectrum, including sustainable environmental management, the promotion of local wisdom, equitable distribution of income to communities, social empowerment, and low-carbon management aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Recipients of the award must achieve a Sustainability & Responsibility Excellence score of over 90 per cent across environmental, cultural, economic, social, and low-carbon management dimensions. The design of the Green Kinnaree Award incorporates the colour green, symbolising nature, abundance, freshness, and economic resilience.
