Cloud 11 by MQDC, the leading property developer, has completed 60% of its construction to become Asia’s largest creator hub.

Cloud 11 launched in February 2023 as the first mixed-use development for the creative and content industries. Designed as Asia’s largest creator hub, the 40-billion-baht project spans 27 rai (10.7 acres) on Sukhumvit Road by Udomsuk BTS station within the South Sukhumvit Innovation District.

Cloud 11 was designed with global design studio Snøhetta from Norway and the leading Thai architecture studio A49.

The project’s 7 zones include the Creator Village. The grade A+ creative space offers a central studio with 24-hour flexible AC for companies in the creative and content industries. A shopping center for young people and creatives has theCOMMONS Cloud 11 as a magnet for restaurants and lifestyle stores.

The hotel zone includes YOTEL, the first of the famous smart hotels to open in Thailand, and Sangsan Bangkok, under Marriott International’s Tribute Portfolio brand. The Academy Zone will develop content creators. Cloud 11 Hall will host concerts and e-sports.

All 7 zones are linked by Bangkok’s largest sky garden: Cloud 11 Park. The park will provide a platform for creators and welcome young people and the public.

Mr. Onza Janyaprasert, Project Director of Cloud 11, said that the project has made great progress. Construction is proceeding to plan to complete a creative ecosystem under the concept of "Empowering Creators". The creative and content industries will be key to developing the Thai economy.

“Construction by Thai Obayashi is over 60% complete. The company and its partners held a topping-out ceremony. MQDC is committed to installing systems and completing interior decoration with the highest quality to set a new standard for Asia's creative and content industries,” Mr. Onza said.

Mr. Onza said that the Creator Economy remains popular. Young people all over the world are looking to become content creators. The sector’s market value of US$250 billion is set to double by 2027. Thailand's creative and content industries contribute as much as 10% of GDP. Bangkok is a top center for creators and critical to the region's creative economy.

“Cloud 11 can advance the creative economy with spaces designed and equipped to perfectly support various types of creators, letting them work without limitations.”

Mr. Onza stressed that, as a creator hub, the project must have everything to support creators. Cloud 11 provides not only a location but also a creator ecosystem with funding, staff, tools, equipment, technology, and a productive environment.

“We’ve invested in and organized events for groups of creators, such as Collective by Cloud 11 or Bangkok Design Week in South Sukhumvit, receiving a good response. We’re confident that Cloud 11 will greatly help develop the potential of creators, including directors, composers, screenwriters, artists, singers, musicians, e-sports athletes, streamers. Cloud 11 aims to nurture cross-collaboration to introduce new forms of creativity and put Thailand's creative industry on the world stage.”
