This will create the best summer experience while highlighting the Thai New Year or ‘Songkran’ as one of the world's best festivals that people around the world are eager to visit. Thailand is regarded as a top travel destination for tourists from around the world to visit. Central Pattana continues to take part in pushing forward both the economy and tourism and has invested 400 million baht to launch the Summer & Songkran Festival campaign to welcome ‘Tourism's Big Wave’ in the summer – peak season, where a lot of tourists visit Thailand. More than 8 million tourists from China are expected to enter Thailand, including those in MICE and FIT groups, in addition to tourists from countries in Asia, both weekend travelers and short-haul tourists from countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, India, South Korea and Japan. We have set a goal to bring tourism forward in 2023 to bounce back to 80% of 2019, or approximately 25 million tourists visiting Thailand, representing 2.38 trillion baht in revenue from tourism.”

This great collaboration with over 20 partners – government and private sector – will jointly set off fireworks, speeding up the recovery of the Thai economy and tourism by supporting Songkran (Thai New Year) to become one of the world's best festivals that people around the world are eager to visit. This is built on the world-class countdown landmark model that Central has successfully accomplished, and creating a unique approach by combining modern culture and entertainment together to ensure that Songkran becomes one of the world’s best festivals and emphasize success as a world-class destination in Thailand. In addition, Central Pattana is also joining hands with TikTok, the world-class entertainment platform, in a co-creation of O2O experience this summer. Get ready to meet TikTok Island at Central shopping centers in tourist cities such as centralwOrld, Chiangmai, Hatyai and Khon Kaen etc.
We have plans in place to support Chinese tourists this summer by joining hands for the first time with WechatPay. Simply pay through WechatPay and get a special foreign exchange rate or Tourist Welcome Package that includes discounts from shops, department stores and Tops, worth more than 3,000 baht, and promotions from online travel agents such as Klook, as well as other special promotions from partners such as True, Alipay, UOB, JCB, Unionpay and various airlines.

Creating ‘City DNA’ to highlight tourism in major cities – secondary cities: the development of Central shopping centers throughout the country accelerates economic and tourism infrastructure expansion for the country. We have supported the government campaign ‘We travel together’ in Phase 5, which helped boost cross-regional domestic tourism. The expansion of Central Pattana's hotel projects is making progress in the major tourist cities. In Pattaya, we have the Hilton Pattaya Hotel and we have begun to expand into MICE cities such as Centara Korat and most recently, the renovation of Centara Udon and the opening of a new branch: Centara Ubon, which is expected to further help stimulate tourism and increase cash flow.
We have also cooperated with the Ministry of Culture in activities for each province in order to promote local identities and culture to help complete the tourism ecosystem for various cities.
