TAP Group has continued its “Namjai TAP Scholarships”, which provides educational support to students living in the community around the factory, for the 10thconsecutive year. This year, 54 scholarships were granted to elementary and university students in Sai Noi District, Nonthaburi. These students excel academically but are in need of financial support. Under the “Brew a Better World” initiative, which is now in its 25th year, TAP Group is committed to enhancing the quality of life in the community by continuously providing educational support to the students and encouraging them to become quality citizens.

Mr. Michael Lim, Managing Director of TAP Group, said, “TAP Group recognizes the importance of education for young people who are the future of our nation.  The COVID-19 pandemic has affected many people and among them are students who were forced to drop out of school as the parents could no longer afford to finance their studies. We are committed to supporting this group of young people in Sai Noi District near the factory. We hope to stand by the community during this trying time and to come back stronger together."

The “Namjai TAP Scholarships” is free and targets students with outstanding academic excellence. The scholarships are awarded to students from elementary school year 1 all the way up to undergraduate study. The only condition is to maintain an academic score to be above 3.00 GPA. Students with special skills or who serve as role models and bring reputation to the community such as national athlete can also apply for this award. As this year marks the company’s 25thanniversary, TAP Group is giving away 25 scholarships to Sai Yai District students and 29 scholarships to Rat Niyom District, making a total of 54 scholarships.

Miss Siriyakorn Cheepyooyuen,4th year student from Kasetsart University Kamphaeng Saen campus and a representative of the first batch of awardees from Rat Niyom School. She has received the scholarship since her days in Grade 7 back in 2012. She has always been the best in class and was selected to represent the school in academic competitions. “I am so grateful for TAP Group’s kind support. This scholarship has fulfilled the dreams of children in the communities. I believe education is the road to success in life. ‘Namjai TAP’ Scholarship has supported my family financially and given me opportunities to complete my undergraduate school. In the future, I plan to become a teacher in the local school so that I can help developing education for children. I would like to see them grow and return to support our communities.” Miss Siriyakorn said.

“TAP Group will continue this educational support program for students nearby the factory. Not only do we support them financially, but we also plan to share knowledge and develop their full potential through our future CSR projects. We are proud and pleased to play a role in helping to improve the quality of life of the people around the factory, especially the young members who are the main drivers of our communities. TAP Group strongly believes that education is the foundation of success and helps create a better society that can grow sustainably,” Mr. Michael Lim concluded.
